E-Waste Management

At Loadout, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. Electronic waste (e-waste) refers to any discarded, non-working, or obsolete electronic products that have reached the end of their useful life. As per the E-Waste Management Rules of 2016, e-waste includes electrical and electronic equipment that is discarded by consumers, including rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment, and repair processes. E-waste is not only a potential resource, containing valuable materials like aluminum, copper, gold, and plastics, but it also poses a risk due to the hazardous substances it contains, such as mercury, lead, and cadmium. These substances can leach into soil and water, causing significant environmental harm.

An E-Waste Recycling Initiative

To combat this, we recommend utilizing the services of Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, an authorized Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), to ensure the safe and responsible disposal of e-waste across India. Hulladek’s network of authorized collection centers and recycling partners helps ensure that the e-waste is properly processed and the valuable materials are recovered while harmful components are safely disposed of. We are not in partnership with the above mentioned PRO.

How the Process Works

• Collection & Recycling: Hulladek Recycling handles the collection and recycling of e-waste. Their certified recyclers and dismantlers, such as Eco Birdd Recycling, Green Era Recyclers, and Justdispose Recycling, manage the e-waste at their plants, which have a combined recycling capacity of over 4300 MT per annum.

• Convenient Collection Points: They have several drop-off locations across India where you can dispose of your old electronic products. If you're unable to drop off your e-waste, they offer a doorstep collection service to make the process even easier.

General Collection Schemes

• Buyback Program:
  They offer a buyback scheme for bulk consumers, individual consumers, and residential associations. Participants will be informed about the collection process via email. Collection bins will be placed at various locations for convenient disposal, and a toll-free number is available for coordination. They also provide incentives for materials returned to us.
